Mary Fildes


Born in  Cork, republic of Ireland
Died in Manchester 2nd quarter of 1876

Mary Pritchard married William Fildes on the 18 March 1808, they had eight children, a passionate radical named her sons after John Cartwright, Henry Hunt, Thomas Paine.

Involved in the campaign for birth control, attempted to sell books on the subject, accused in the local press of distributing pornography.
